Both series feature the same range of face-pieces and hoods but the belt-mounted air-filter turbo units use quite different filter cartridge types. The clean-air basic 2000 (cab) systems use a single, replaceable high-efficiency filter and are available in a choice of dual-flow (b) eko (160ltr/min) or turbo (210ltr/mw) mode, or computer-controlled (fc) models to protect against liquid or solid aerosols, toxic dust and smoke at flow-rates between 160 to 210ltr/min. The fc models also feature eight-step (increments of 10ltr/min) adjustment of flow-rate and easy-check on battery voltage or remaining filter capacity. The clean-air chemical (cac) systems feature three 40mm screw-in-thread cartridge filters to protect against dusts and fumes, organic or inorganic gases and vapours, sulphur dioxide or ammonia vapour. All safir clean-air powered respirators are ce-marked and meet the requirements of en12941 class th1, th2 or th3, depending on the combination of turbo unit and hood.
